Metropole by Baan is known for its elegant, rich and charming style. The brand exudes pure luxury with an international flair, combining classy and glamorous chic in a modern form. Ton and Mirande Baan form the design team of Metropole by Baan together with Ron Veldhuysen. They get their inspiration from international furniture fairs, hotels, fashion, art, materials, shapes and museums. Each designs from his or her own vision. Ron focuses on design and atmosphere, Ton looks at it from a production technical point of view, and Mirande approaches it from the consumer's point of view. The various perspectives result in a unique and current home fashion with its own face. Anything goes at Metropole. Totally be yourself. Metropole has a soul and you can feel it.
Metropole made a conscious decision to have its collection produced in the Netherlands. As the third generation of the family business, which has existed for over 81 years, Metropole is one of the few to produce in its own workshop. The Baan label is represented by more than 100 dealers in the Netherlands and Belgium. Besides the timeless Baan and design collection, Metropole forms one of the three innovative collections. In recent years, Metropole has also become a full service partner for project furnishings, specializing in stores, hotels, restaurants, yacht building, cruise ships, offices, sports and recreation centers and healthcare institutions. Quality and customization are the company's strengths, which is why everything is produced in the Netherlands, under the label "Handmade in Holland."
Craftsmanship and craftsmanship play a crucial role at Metropole. It is not only about the look of the furniture, but also about quality, seating comfort and customization. These are real spearheads for the company. Because production is in-house, Metropole is able to meet all customer requirements. Customers and consumers are regularly given tours of the production area in Waddinxveen, where they can see how the furniture is made.
