Macazz was founded in 2005 by Jos Castelijns, but the company's history goes back to the 1980s, when Jos Castelijns started his career in his garage. Since then, Macazz has grown into a valued and creative label where craftsmanship and customization are highly valued. Today, the family business is led by his son Harm Castelijns, who together with the Macazz team has the ambition to further develop the company. In 2018, Macazz purchased the well-known BENCH brand with the intention of continuing the production and sale of these elegant, timeless models. Known for their excellent seating comfort, these models fit perfectly with Macazz's philosophy and have therefore been added to the Macazz collection.
Macazz is known for its craftsmanship. All products are made by the best professionals who have a great passion for the materials and the final product. The design team carefully selects all materials, and because the entire process from design to production is realized within the company, quality and authenticity can be well controlled and guaranteed. Macazz does not use automated processes, so any adjustments or wishes can always be made.
Macazz's style can be described as luxurious and modern. Each product is carefully designed with great attention to detail. The company works only with fabrics and leathers from the leading brands, always striving for the highest quality. This has led Macazz to collaborate with the best interior design professionals. The collection can be viewed in the showroom at the ETC. in Culemborg, where different atmospheres and settings are displayed each year.
Traditional Dutch entrepreneurship is combined at Macazz with a sense of style and an eye for detail. The experience began in the 1980s and is now continued by a young management. Macazz designs and manufactures entirely in-house, with precise handiwork carried out with care and attention. The company identifies trends in the market and responds to them with unique designs, supported by various designers, including Bart Conen, the designer of BENCH design.
Macazz has full control over production, which means the company can easily respond to customer needs in terms of customization. Most models can be customized in size and comfort without losing sight of the original design. Working with leading fabric houses and leather suppliers, Macazz offers a wide range of upholstery flexibility, giving each piece of furniture its own special character. Each custom-made item is unique and this exclusivity is Macazz's strength and landmark.
At Macazz, the most luxurious interiors are created through the best collaborations. Together with our dealers, we strive for perfect detail finishing of large projects. We work closely together to execute each project as efficiently as possible. Within our production, we have developed unique items carefully designed by our design team. We share our expertise on how to improve the quality and appearance of an item without modifying the original design. Many of our dealers design entire homes with Macazz items, as all items are aligned to perfectly match. Macazz furniture series include sofas, chairs, dining chairs and bar chairs, which can be combined in a project.
