Imperial Collection was founded in the early 1990s in Wezep by the former owner. After a period of growth, the original location became too small and the company moved to larger premises, again in Wezep. Imperial Collection continued to grow and from the beginning had a prominent booth in the ETC. However, the years 2013-2017 were challenging, leading to a company takeover in the summer of 2017 by Imko Molenbuur. After restructurings, such as the move of production to Veendam and a smaller showroom in the ETC., Imperial Collection is once again running to full satisfaction.
Imperial Collection distinguishes itself by producing high quality furniture made entirely in the Netherlands. Our solid beech frames are still made by the same frame factory as in the 1990s, and our foam is supplied by one of Holland's best foam suppliers. Add to this the craftsmanship of our upholsterers in Veendam and you can see the result in our showroom in the ETC. We guarantee quality and also offer special customization: you conceive and sell, we make it for you.
We find inspiration in several ways. Every year I visit trade fairs at home and abroad and try to visit some of our English, Italian and Belgian fabric suppliers. Combined with the presentations of colleagues at the ETC. and reading professional literature, this provides the necessary creative inspiration. Although we are not a trendsetter, we do make timeless products. Several models have been in our collection since the early years, demonstrating the timelessness of our designs. New models are often inspired by existing designs.
The ETC. is the ideal place for retailers, architects and stylists. Everyone is welcome at our place. It is a unique location where so much beauty comes together at a high quality level, a true candy store for the home improvement professional. Here visitors can get plenty of inspiration and do business.
The future of the interior design profession looks promising. The function of the ETC. is becoming increasingly important as the number of stores decreases. We see a growth in the number of creative studios and stylists, who know how to make optimal use of the power of the ETC. Products like ours lend themselves less to online sales and require expert advice, which fortunately is abundantly available in the ETC. Make sure that as a company you are well visible on the Internet, because consumers orient themselves there in abundance.
