Edwin Tromp, owner of De Munk Carpets, began his career with the company in 1989 and within two years had the opportunity to travel to manufacturing countries for purchasing. This allowed him to see the entire carpet manufacturing process from start to finish, which fueled his passion for carpets. He and his wife took over De Munk Carpets in 2001 and since then the company has grown through accuracy and a wide collection of custom-made carpets.
When choosing a new rug, there are several factors to consider, such as use, material preference and desired look. A well-chosen rug enriches the room and creates the right atmosphere. The ideal size of a rug is large enough to run generously under sofas and chairs, creating a spacious sitting area.
In De Munk Carpets' design studio, concepts, materials and colors can be combined on the computer and digitally placed in an interior picture. This makes it immediately clear to clients whether the design fits their home and interior. The choice of a booth at ETC. was natural, given the high level of exhibitors and visitors. This center is a collection of designers and brands all working at the highest level.
